How does Drift Assistant Work

Overview

Drift Assistant is here and ready to do the heavy lifting so sales reps don't have to! Let us take care of lead research before a demo, keeping leads warm after cancels or reschedules, and reminders to send next steps after a meeting. It's just like having a real assistant by your side!

You can access the Assistant by going to Settings > My Settings > My Drift Assistant

Drift Assistant Skill #1 is available to all plans, Skill #2 and Skill #3 are only available to customers using the SFDC integration (Pro plans and above). 

Drift Assistant Skills and Settings 

#1: Be prepared for every meeting

  • Before every demo, Drift Assistant will send you a reminder email with enriched data about that lead.
  • This research will include company info, contact info, links to social profiles like LinkedIn, the Salesforce record, and a timeline of how this meeting was booked. 

All emails only display as much context as is possible depending upon information available on profiles and information given by the lead.

Settings and Personalization

  • Personalize the amount of time before a meeting that you would like to receive this email

If a lead declines a meeting, but it still appears on your calendar, be sure to delete it. If it remains present on your calendar, at this time the Assistant will still recognize it. 

For the Admin

  • Admins can configure Drift Assistant so that it will only send reminders to your team for leads that match your Salesforce mapping. For example, you can elect to only send reminders for "qualified leads".
  • Click here to configure your Salesforce mapping.
  • SFDC configuration is not necessary for this skill to function. If nothing is configured, you will simply get meeting prep emails for all meetings.

#2: Never forget to follow up after a cancellation

  • If a lead cancels or reschedules a meeting, Drift Assistant will remind you to check in with them to keep those leads warm.
  • Once a lead is marked as qualified in SFDC, the Assistant will scan for any further communication with this person including chats, events or actions in SFDC, emails, or additional meetings.
  • If no exchange is found, the Assistant will email you with a follow up template to then send to that lead.

Settings and Personalization

  • Personalize the amount of time after a cancellation or reschedule that you would like to receive this reminder email.
  • Customize the template for the check in email so you can contact them even faster. This template can of course be edited within the email before actually sending. 

For the Admin

  • Admins can configure Drift Assistant so that it will only send reminders to your team for leads that match your Salesforce mapping. For example, you can elect to only send cancellation emails for "qualified leads".

#3: Always remember to send next steps

  • After a demo with a qualified lead, Drift Assistant will ensure that no lead slips through the cracks by reminding you to follow up and send next steps.
  • Once a lead is marked as qualified in SFDC, the Assistant will scan for any further communication with this person including chats, events or actions in SFDC, emails, or additional meetings.
  • If no exchange is found, the Assistant will email you with a follow up template to then send to that lead.

Settings and Personalization

For the Admin

  • Admins can configure the Assistant so it knows exactly what demos are classified as in Salesforce. This way, it can be aware that the demo was held and be ready to follow up afterwards.

Follow up emails for Skills #2 and #3 are NOT sent automatically to the lead, but rather, come directly to you in the form of a reminder email.
All skills only function for events booked through Drift calendaring.
