Static segments are the easiest way to hand-pick a group of people to send a campaign.
A static segment will remain unchanged until you manually add individuals to that segment. You’ll most likely want to use static segments if you’re sending a 1-time campaign or if you want to create a segment and measure their NPS score over time.
In order to create a static segment, in your customers view, either select all users in the table or hand-pick individuals. Then, click on “New Segment” and choose “Static Segment.”
If you choose to target a static segment when sending a campaign, unless you choose to send it right now, anybody who is added into that segment until the campaign’s end date will receive the campaign you create.
